A flight leaving PV on Dec 9th means more time to finish up work but less time in eNYC; it also leaves early morning so less sleep.
A flight leaving PV on Dec 6th means less time to finish work but better departure time than Dec 9th flight. Also allows the possibility of an overnight in Chicago to visit @my. Depends on her schedule.
A flight leaving eNYC on Dec 16th is best for time and departure location but then I miss a cool photography exhibit opening.
A flight leaving eNYC on Dec 17th allows me to see the opening but flies out of Newark which means a pricey cab ride. It also requires an overnight in Dallas which may or may not work depending on staying with family.
And so it continues...

You can easily take the train to Newark now from Penn Station, so its not such a big deal to leave from there now (although with all that shopping, the train may be less manageable...maybe you can convince someone to go with you???).
